Today,
God used this little girl to remind me that I’m doing okay...
Today, God used this little girl to teach me even more about grace.
His grace. His marvelous grace.
I was on the phone with a friend this morning- on our way to take Paxton to preschool- and I mentioned to my friend that I was stopping by the grocery to pick up Paxton some lunch to put in her lunchbox... because “I’m the worst Mom in the world.”
We talked for a few more minutes and then I got off the phone.
Paxton immediately asked who I was talking to.
I told her “Sisa.”
Then she, in true adult fashion, scolded me.
She started speaking to me in a voice more serious than I’ve ever heard her use.
She said, “why did you say you were the worst mom in the world?? You are NOT the worst mom in the world!!! You are the best mom in the world!! Don’t ever say you are the worst mom in the world again, okay!!”
My eyes filled up with tears. I was stressed and anxious and feeling rushed.
But God used this little girl, in that moment to show me what grace is.
I fail. A lot.
But to her, I’m the perfect mom. The best mom in the world.
And that is grace.
